Kyliga Dalen Interview

1.For those that have never heard of you before, can you tell us a little bit about the band?
First of all I would like to take the opportunity and say thank you for having us here, it is highly appreciated. Greetings to all the readers, we are Kyliga Dälen,  a band that was formed in the first part of 2014 by Senior Hernandez and Haver666, the intention was to start drinking wilder and without any control in order to create simple and harsh music(?) with instruments.

2.So far you have released 2 ep's, how would you describe the musical sound that is presented on the recordings and also how do they differ from each other?
Indeed we did and both of them have been the lovechild of the almighty HM2 and our devastated minds. Well, Senior has some hair, I don’t and Spartacus is somewhere in between.

3.What are some of the lyrical topics and subjects the band explores with the music?
Sometimes we try to deal with serious topics, let’s say „typical” topics but usaually we just share our opinions and thoughts about the bullshit we face day by day. We even happen to write about personal stuff but those we really distort,to be honest I can not really tell the reason. Lyrics are always a pain in the ass in general.

4.What is the meaning and inspiration behind the name 'Kyliga Dalen'?
Kyliga Dälen is miraculous place in Budapest, our semi-hometown. It is the source of all evil and glory.

5.What are some of the best shows that the band has played so far and also how would you describe your stage performance?
To be perfectly honest with you, I don’t think we had that many shows to have that really special moment. There was a „show” that was a lot of fun but it was not an official show. We were touring with our metal band, Deathstruck and one of the german shows turned out to be way more fun than expected and the local people were still kinda into some live music after the whole thing, so we asked to play with Kyliga Dälen and we had a random show under the name Crust, that was fun. The funny fact was that no one actually saw that coming, it was around that time when we were still at the first steps as a band and we were not active with concerts or whatsoever,  we basically did not play ever before(except the first show with Funerus in Budapest) and we were not even really thinking about playing live, but somehow that night in Eppingen made us all believe playing was a wise idea...

6.Do you have any touring or show plans for the future?
Yes, we do. We are currently working on our first tour with our buddies and neighbours Red and The Dumbasses which  would happen in may/june. Anyone fancy some hungarian chaos, please let us know ;)

7.The new ep was released on Neverheard Distro, are you happy with the support that they have given you so far?
Neverheard Distro is part of our family. This label is run by one guy, Balázs who is a really close friend of ours and he always come with us for tours and parties,he is a really supportive soldier of the underground and he is just super cool with bands. We can confirm that our relation is more than beautiful, we really are some sort of fucked up family.

8.On a worldwide level how has the feedback been to your music by fans of grind, crust and d beat?
I have no idea, but I don’t really care to be honest with you. I am pretty sure there are a lot of freaks out there who are fucked up in the very same way as we are and probably these people might be able to listen to our music without disgust. Hopefully we can meet these people one day and then we make fun, a lot of fun.

9.Where do you see the band heading into musically during the future?
Into Helvete.

10.What are some of the bands or musical styles that have had an influence on your music and also what are you listening to nowadays?
Sweden.

11.What are some of your non musical interests?
Drinking? I don’t know man, usually we just go down to our rehearsal room and play shit, usually we do that on skateboard, probably that could be the one, but we use that to get there sooner so...fuck it, there is no such thing.

12.Before we wrap up this interview, do you have any final words or thoughts?
Thanks for taking the time to listen to our music and write the review. It is really nice and we really do appreciate your hardwork both with the bands and the scene. Thanks for all those who read this, keep on rotting in the free world!!
